Rayna and SteveOs wedding

saturday Lauren, Dan and Mary and I drove up to the Poconos for Rayna and SteveOs wedding. it was honestly the most beautiful wedding ever, and one of the best nights ever. never had so much fun. all i remember really is Greg looking like a watermelon with a leather jacket on, Zack Schwartz looking like Bob Dylan and Arik looking like Shel Silverstein. such a great fucking night. camped at "tent city", which was pretty uncomfortable. drove home early the next day and just layed low all day sunday. some pictures from the wedding (kinda bummed there are none of me and lauren)

monday (today), i made this blog. woo, go me. i go back to working pretty heavy schedules this week, so goodbye summer, hello money. what a cruel trade off.

Cheeky - Is This Normal? This Is Not Normal!

last week

saturday the 21st, i threw my first show since terrordome ended.
show went really well. Paper Lanterns opened, Heavy Cream were added last minute and played second, then Paramedic played, followed by Backpocket and Thousandaires. had a low key night with Lauren after the show, very much needed.

sunday i was suppose to go to Ozzfest with Greg, but it rained and someone was a baby and didn't want to go. i ended up looking up past ozzfest rosters, and this years was the absolute worst ever, but check out old ozzfests, some great bands played including melvins, danzing, pantera, motorhead, deftones, queens of the stoneage, the used, glassjaw, andrew wk, rob zombie, every time i die, etc. we ended up going to 12 Steps Down instead, with Nick, Andy, Lauren, Yosco, Tony, and Rob. nice group of friends

tuesday night my house saw the return of Jeff Riddle, which was awesome. partied pretty hard with him most nights. thursday night i threw an acoustic benefit show for him and his dog Dookie Kong. it was at the doll house down the street. Connor Byrne opened it up, then Watertowers, the JR played, who was really fucking great, then Lavis Blake played a pretty much unpracticed acoustic set (their first, and maybe last) which was also really fucking awesome, then Paper Lanterns closed it all out. then there was a big party at my house.

friday was sorta a low key day. went to the station bar with Connor, Jeff and Nick to watch Connor and Jeff play again. then Jeff and I rode up to north philly, picked up Mollie and went to Jenni's house warming party. after that me and Jeff rode all around the city, went to logan square, the parkway, the art museum, the schulykill (spl?) river, rittenhouse park, and a bunch of other places. we didnt get home until about 6 am.

The Holy Mess -  Goodbye 3713 (Must Of Been A Good One)

i guess i'm doing this again

so i basically took a little more then a year off from blog posting, mostly because i moved to Philadelphia and didn't have internet at my house. which is a shame because the last year of my life has been one of the best years of life and has changed me in so many way. i moved to a city, made new friends, lost old friends, met a new girl, got into a new scene, new music new habits, changed my morals, changed my life in general, and all for the best in my opinion. i guess this blog is just going to be like my old one. i wish i hadn't missed everything that happened in the last year, but life is still great, so i guess it's never to late to start documenting it again. this is my life in philadelphia.
